If unsure, it is recommended to leave the question blank on the OMR sheet to avoid unnecessary confusion.
1. Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets are scanned and evaluated using advanced software. The process is fully automated, ensuring accuracy and eliminating human involvement in grading.
2. Results are generated based on scores obtained after the automated evaluation.
Calculation: Ranks are determined by the individual score of a student in a specific Olympiad within their class. Students with higher scores receive better ranks.
Example: If A scores 76, B scores 74, and C scores 70, the ranks would be:A (Rank 1), B (Rank 2), and C (Rank 3).
Tiebreaker Criteria: If two or more students score the same marks, the number of incorrect answers is considered. Students with fewer incorrect answers are ranked higher.
Example:
If A, B, and C score 76 marks:
A: 38 correct, 6 incorrect, 6 not attempted.
B: 38 correct, 8 incorrect, 4 not attempted.
C: 38 correct, 5 incorrect, 7 not attempted.
Ranking: C (Rank 1), A (Rank 2), B (Rank 3).
Calculation:Overall rank in the school is based on a student’s performance in any specific Olympiad, regardless of class. The ranking follows the same criteria as class ranks.
Special Note: Ranks are only shared if all conditions for two or more students are identical. Cash rewards are equally distributed in case of tied ranks.
If a school has 300 or more registered students, the school principal will receive a special gift as a token of appreciation.
This transparent and detailed result and reward system ensures fair evaluation while recognizing and celebrating the efforts and achievements of students across various levels. It motivates students to excel academically and provides schools with incentives for active participation.
