Detailed Result and Reward Criteria for Eduno International Olympiad

Medium of Examination

The examination will be conducted in English.

Marking System

Each correct answer earns 2 marks.

Leaving a question unanswered or providing a wrong answer results in 0 marks (no negative marking).

If unsure, it is recommended to leave the question blank on the OMR sheet to avoid unnecessary confusion.

Evaluation Process

1. Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets are scanned and evaluated using advanced software. The process is fully automated, ensuring accuracy and eliminating human involvement in grading.

2. Results are generated based on scores obtained after the automated evaluation.

Rank in Class

Calculation: Ranks are determined by the individual score of a student in a specific Olympiad within their class. Students with higher scores receive better ranks.

Example: If A scores 76, B scores 74, and C scores 70, the ranks would be:A (Rank 1), B (Rank 2), and C (Rank 3).

Tiebreaker Criteria: If two or more students score the same marks, the number of incorrect answers is considered. Students with fewer incorrect answers are ranked higher.

Example: If A, B, and C score 76 marks:
A: 38 correct, 6 incorrect, 6 not attempted.
B: 38 correct, 8 incorrect, 4 not attempted.
C: 38 correct, 5 incorrect, 7 not attempted.
Ranking: C (Rank 1), A (Rank 2), B (Rank 3).

Rank in School

Calculation:Overall rank in the school is based on a student’s performance in any specific Olympiad, regardless of class. The ranking follows the same criteria as class ranks.

Special Note: Ranks are only shared if all conditions for two or more students are identical. Cash rewards are equally distributed in case of tied ranks.

Cash Rewards
  • School-Level Rewards:
  • Rank 1: ₹1000.
    Rank 2 and Rank 3: ₹500 each.
Rewards are provided only if there are 70 or more participants in a specific Olympiad from the school. In the case of tied ranks, the reward amount is equally shared among the winners.
  • Zonal-Level Rewards:
  • Zonal toppers from Class 6 to Class 12 receive a cash reward of ₹5000 each.
Zonal examinations are conducted online for EMO, EEO, and ESO subjects.
Students scoring 50% or more marks in the school-level Olympiad qualify for the zonal examination.
Medal Distribution Criteria
  • Gold Medal:
  • Awarded to Rank 1 holders scoring 75% or above. If Rank 1 holders score below 75% but above 60%, they are awarded a Silver Medal.
  • Silver Medal:
  • Awarded to Rank 2 holders scoring 60% or above. If Rank 2 holders score below 60% but above 50%, they are awarded a Bronze Medal.
  • Bronze Medal:
  • Awarded to Rank 3 holders or students in the top 30% of their class, provided they score 50% or above.
  • Special Scenarios:
  • If all top-ranking students score below 50%, no medals are awarded. In cases where multiple students qualify for the same medal (e.g., due to ties), medals are distributed accordingly.
Certificates
  • Merit Certificate:
  • Awarded to students scoring 75% or above.
  • Participation Certificate:
  • Awarded to all participants.
  • Zonal Level E-Certificate:
  • Provided to students who qualify for and participate in the zonal-level examination.
