What is Rank in Class?
Class rank is calculated within one Olympiad for a specific class.
Rank is based on score in one Olympiad for a specific class. Higher score = better rank. Example: Score 76 = Rank 1, Score 74 = Rank 2, Score 70 = Rank 3.
If scores are tied, the number of wrong answers is used. Fewer wrong answers = higher rank.
Tie-Breaker Example
| Student | Score | Wrong | Rank |
|---|---|---|---|
| Student A | 76 | 6 | Rank 3 |
| Student B | 76 | 5 | Rank 1 (shared) |
| Student C | 76 | 5 | Rank 1 (shared) |
โน๏ธ If two students share Rank 1, the next student gets Rank 3 (no Rank 2).
School Rank Calculation
School rank applies across all classes within the same school for a single Olympiad.
School rank is based on a student's score in one Olympiad across all classes in that school.
Same rules as class rank, primarily based on percentage score.
Ranks are shared only if all details match exactly (score, wrong answers, etc.).
If multiple students share a rank, the cash prize for that rank is split equally among them.
Cash Rewards
Eduno is among the few Olympiads offering cash rewards to participating schools.
- If multiple students share a rank, the cash prize for that rank is split equally.
- Cash rewards apply only if the school has 70+ participants in that Olympiad. Amounts are fixed.
Medal Criteria
Medals are awarded based on class rank and minimum percentage marks.
Gold Medal
Only for Rank 1 in class. Minimum 75% marks required.

- 50% or below โ Does not qualify
Special Medal Rules
Additional scenarios for medal allocation when top ranks do not meet standard thresholds.
- 1 If Rank 1 scores 60%โ74% (not qualifying for Gold), they receive Silver. If Rank 2 also qualifies (60%+), both Rank 1 and Rank 2 receive Silver.
- 2 If Rank 2 scores 50%โ59% (not qualifying for Silver), they receive Bronze. If Rank 3 also qualifies (50%+), both Rank 2 and Rank 3 receive Bronze.
- 3 If the top 3 students all score 50%โ59%, all three receive Bronze.
- 4 If no one in the top 3 scores 50% or higher, no medals are awarded at all.
- 5 A minimum of 5 students per class per subject is required for medals to be awarded.
